Setup SmarterMail Email account in Outlook 2003

Issue

Need to configure your email account into your Outlook 2003

Workaround

Step 1: Open Outlook 2003

Step 2: Click the Tools menu, and select Account Settings.

Step 3: Click on the Email tab and click on the New button.

Step 4: Next select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP or HTTP and click Next.

Step 5: Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:

User Information
Your Name: Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the From: field of outgoing messages.
Email Address: Enter your full email address ([email protected])

Server Information
Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.yourdomain.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com

Logon Information
User Name: Enter your username as [email protected] in the field.
Password: Enter your email password

Step 6: Upon filling up the details, Click on More Settings

Step 7: Click on the Outgoing Server tab

Step 8: Check My outgoing server (SMTP) Requires Authentication

Step 9: Make sure Use same setting as my incoming mail server is also checked.

Step 10: Click OK

Step 11: Click the Advanced tab. Enter 110 in the ‘Incoming Server‘ box.

Step 12: Enter 27 in the Outgoing server (SMTP) box.

Step 13: Click OK.

Step 14: Click Test Account Settings. After receiving Congratulations! All tests completed successfully , click Close.

Step 15: Click Next and then click Finish.
