Procedure to Update .my Domain Administrative Contact Email at WHOIS

Issue

Wish to know how to update .MY Domain Administrative Contact email at WHOIS

Symptoms

Change of Administrative Contact Person In Charge

Cause

Unsure how to update the email contact

Workaround

First, check for the current Administrative Contact Email as shown in domain whois search

STEP 1: Go to .MY Domain Registry Login Page here.

STEP 2: Enter the Domain Administrative Contact Username & Password and click Login. Please refer here to retrieve the Username & Password.

STEP 3: Enter the Contact Code -> click Proceed . You may grab the Administrative Contact Code from whois search
eg. [Administrative Contact Code: DCAXXXXX]

STEP 4: Go to Domain Name -> Modify Domain

STEP 5: Enter the Domain Name and choose the extension click Search

STEP 6: Select the Domain Name click Modify

STEP 7: Select the Appoint / Modify Administrative Contact Record and the window will append.

  • If you wish to modify current Administrative Details, choose Modify Existing Administrative Contact Record and key in the new details.
  • If you wish to appoint a new Administrative Contact, choose Appoint A New Administrative Contact and find the existing Administrative Code or key in the new details.

STEP 8: Click Modify

Additional Information

If the Administrative Contact Email is not valid, please refer to STEP 4 & 6 in this article to assign new Administrative Contact Email Address.
