I want to modify Company Name / Registrant name for .my domain name.
Symptoms
The domain is already registered and active.
Cause
Scenario:
1) Change of company name only but still under same entity.
2) Change of domain ownership from one company to another company.
Workaround (1)
If this is a change of company name (still under same entity), please provide us the supporting document of Form 13 (Perakuan Pemerbadanan Atas Pertukaran Nama Syarikat) for change of Company Name.
You may apply to make modifications to reflect a legal name change, if you are a
- company registered under the Companies Act 1965,
- Business registered under the Business Registration Act 1956, or
- society registered under the Societies Act 1966.
Please refer to guidelines of relevant supporting documents as stated in table below. Once these supporting documents have been received and verified, that your application will be approved.
Workaround (2)
If you wish to change ownership of a domain to another company (different entity), a domain transfer process will be involved.
The domain will be deleted and to be transferred to another company. A new domain registration fee applied. The remaining domain period will be cancelled. Supporting documents required for both current company and new company to be transferred. Please refer to guidelines of relevant supporting documents as stated in table below. Once these supporting documents have been received and verified, that your application will be approved.
